Aluminium bowling green access corner steps with a stainless steel handrail. The rail can be fitted to either side of the step which is 75cm x 75cm. The step base is height adjustable at the lowest setting the non slip step is 230mm from the base of the ditch and max 350mm at the highest. The height adjustment is achieved by moving the position of the nuts and bolts on the sides of the step into one of three possible locations in order to ensure two even step heights are achieved. The step is lightweight, easy to move and has a solid and stable non rusting construction. Each set weights approx. 22kg with the handrail attached and is weight tested to withstand a 200kg load. Law 4 of the rules of the game of bowls requires that the top of the bank shall be a minimum of 230mm above the green surface which results in a large step which can make it difficult to get on and off the green easily and safely.
Our bowling green side access steps are the solution.
Two large step treads made from slip resistant aluminium checker plate measure 700mm wide x 320mm deep are combined with two sturdy stainless steel handrails (removeable for storage) to provide safe stable access to and from the green.
The front step base has a 50mm wide plate which spreads the weight of the step and user evenly onto the green surface. Both rear legs can be easily adjusted by up to 80mm using the large screw in feet to compensate for a wide range of bank heights. These steps can accommodate ditch heights between 170mm and 250mm or 240mm to 320mm (from green surface to top of bank) but this is restricted before despatch to a smaller range so please state your ditch height so they can be adjusted to suit your requirements. (We can cut down the rear leg to allow for the highest bank heights).
The steps weigh 23kg each complete with handles. 16Kg with both handles removed.
