Cloths are an important item of bowls equipment. Be they never so humble and ordinary, these cloths have two very particular functions.
The first type are for applying grip to your bowls. The Aero Monkey and Taylor Grippit belong to this type.
They are already impregnated with a sticky wax. Keep them in their bag in a trouser pocket, and dip your hand in from time to time to top-up on grip.
The second type, known as ‘wet-and-dry’ are used in wet weather to clear the water off a bowl between ends. Good water management can make the difference between winning and losing a game of bowls.
Wet and dry cloths can also be used for applying tube or tub-supplied grip polish to your bowls. We recommend keeping one cloth just for applying polish and buffing – don’t use the same cloth to clear water from your bowls during a wet-weather game, as the polish will reduce the water absorption qualities of the cloth.

This is the weave for people who need a utility cloth designed specifically for keeping bowls dry in the wet and polished in the dry. It was never christened with its own name, so responds with equal efficiency to 'Hey, Cloth!' or 'Oi! Rag!' and even 'Wiper!'. It isn't proud and though of humble birth will hold its own with more expensive textiles that have both forename and surname.
Tackifying cloth, no mess grip enhancer for the strongest, cleanest control of your bowl. Keep a firm grip on your game! If out of stock, order the Aero Gorilla cloth (below) - same animal, different stripes!
