When choosing an electric Bowls Royce, please be sure to specify if you want the joystick on the left or right hand side.


When purchased by an individual self-certifying as 'chronically sick or disabled' and purchasing for personal use no VAT is payable, but you must download and complete the VAT relief form. This walker is fitted with a choice of two or four 80mm front wheels, complying with on-green regulations. The two wheel version has two rear wide pads (ferrules) which are similarly compliant. This means it is stable for use as a support while bowling, and can be lifted slightly to provide walking support up and down the green between ends.

The four wheel version (Bowls Royce Walker 4WD) is indicated when there is a need to carry e.g. oxygen from end to end and/or when some rolling support for changing ends is helpful, but there is no need for wheelchair transport. NB Health and Safety note: the 4-wheel version is not recommended for use as a stability aid when delivering a bowl.

This is the weave for people who need a utility cloth designed specifically for keeping bowls dry in the wet and polished in the dry. It was never christened with its own name, so responds with equal efficiency to 'Hey, Cloth!' or 'Oi! Rag!' and even 'Wiper!'. These groundsheet mats are an alternative to the more expensive mesh mats and are suitable for roll-up and practice play.  They are made from a heavy-duty 140gsm polyethylene sheet with reinforced corners with eyelets.
Unlike our rink protection mats they are waterproof, so although they will protect the green, in wet weather water will tend to pool.
