Law 4 of the rules of the game of bowls requires that the top of the bank shall be a minimum of 230mm above the green surface which results in a large step which can make it difficult to get on and off the green easily and safely.

Our bowling green side access steps are the solution.

Two large step treads made from slip resistant aluminium checker plate measure 700mm wide x 320mm deep are combined with two sturdy stainless steel handrails (removeable for storage) to provide safe stable access to and from the green.

The front step base has a 50mm wide plate which spreads the weight of the step and user evenly onto the green surface. Both rear legs can be easily adjusted by up to 80mm using the large screw in feet to compensate for a wide range of bank heights. These steps can accommodate ditch heights between 170mm and 250mm or 240mm to 320mm (from green surface to top of bank) but this is restricted before despatch to a smaller range so please state your ditch height so they can be adjusted to suit your requirements. (We can cut down the rear leg to allow for the highest bank heights).

The steps weigh 23kg each complete with handles. 16Kg with both handles removed.

This is a heavyweight dense closely tufted grass ideal for bowls ditch banks, 13mm in thickness. Its dense pile provides great protection for the bowls impacting on the ditch face.

How to Use:

Shake the can vigorously for 10 seconds before use.
Spray a fine mist of Champion Grip onto the surface of your bowl from a distance of 10–15 cm (4–6 inches).
Wipe over the surface with a soft cloth or bowls towel, then allow it to dry briefly.
Buff the bowl to a high polish using the same cloth.
Shake the can between each application.
