Bowling Aids: Bowling Arms, Lifters & Bowls Wheelchairs | Bush Hill Bowls

Bowls aids can keep you playing when body parts start to protest!

There’s no need to give up the game when back, knee(s), wrists or other bits protest! Use a lifter to avoid bending down, use a bowling arm to regain good delivery. Use the Bowlsmate to lean on to support a normal delivery – or bowl from a wheelchair rather than give up the game.

Which bowling aid is right for you?

Struggling to bend down? A bowls and jack lifter picks your bowls up for you, so there’s no stooping between ends. The telescopic model easily slips into a bowls bag.

Can’t get down into a normal delivery? A bowling arm lets you deliver from a standing position, with no bending at all. Like all the products mentioned here they’re approved for use in all competitions by Bowls England, The English Indoor Bowling Association and the British Crown Green Bowling Association

Need support on the mat? The Bowlsmate is a stable support you lean on as you deliver, so you can keep your natural delivery action while taking the strain off knees and hips.

Unsteady walking up and down the rink? A folding walking stick or the Royce Rollator gives you something to hold, and folds away when you’re on the mat.

Bowling from a wheelchair? The Bowls Royce is a bowling wheelchair developed by Bush Hill Bowls, available in manual and battery-powered versions, and is used by players up to Commonwealth Games level.
