Wet weather and heavy bowling usage can damage turf, so protect your surface from divots and scrapes with these mats to protect turf from the impact of the bowl. They are made from a hard wearing polypropylene mesh with reinforced brass eyelets on three sides for secure fixing and a sewn-in polythene band around the edge to give the eyelets extra grip - preventing slippage when in use. Fixing pegs are included.

Also useful on open days when new bowlers are likely to damage the green.

Caution: these mats have been known to give rise to ructions when an official determines that a bowler is damaging the green and asks for them to be deployed. Use with discretion to avoid giving offense!
